Now more commonly known as transparency. Try an office stationery supplier. Cheapest option is to go for standard size and cut down so it will be A3 for your requirements (297×420mm).

no your correct I put .16mm that looked like a comma and should have put 0.16mm

I've been looking at straight-sided plastic pop bottles as a source of throwaway vision port guards, for when I build a blasting cab of some sort.
I've no problem getting polycarb sheeting, quite cheaply, but if and when it inevitably gets wrecked, it would be easier to have a PET bottle sheet to rip off and chuck.

my large cabinet I just use glass . it lasts ages and I just replace it . the small machine mart cab for beadblasting has a flimsy lid and a plastic screen with protector sheet on so cant use glass on it

I used those for my blast helmet (in front of the normal visor), instead of the expensive tear-offs.

Buy a roll of transparent film, transparent book cover or florists cellophane. Feed it behind the screen from the roll and pull down when it gets cloudy. I'll try to take some photos of mine tomorrow.

This is mine. I was going to make some brackets to hold the roll, but I hardly use it now so I didn't bother.



The magnets keep it taught so it doesn't bellow up in the air stream, otherwise you get media trapped between the film and the glass. Just use a Stanley knife to trim the used bit off.

This is the firm I got mine from http://www.care4books.com/packaging/page.asp?type=cat&cid=1&gid=1 It is for book covering and was slightly obscured, but you don't really notice with decent lights inside the cabinet. You can get optically clear stuff, Amazon and Ebay are awash with it.

I'm sure you could get samples if you asked nicely.

Used glass. with a transparent cover film underneath, the film was called bexoid film. it was much cheaper just to replace the film when it got cloudy than replacing the glass.
