AC balance control settings

Hi All,
Been having a bit of a play with a recently acquired Xcalibur 200 AC/DC set and am slightly confused with the way the balance is set up.
The settings allow a variable range of between 15-50%....
I'm assuming at 50%, the cycle is equally split between EN and EP?
So if I say go all the way down to 15%, am I spending 15% time in the EP or EN part of the cycle?? The info with the set is a bit vague.

Aren't they just. There is no standard so it could be either way, just try it you'll soon find out

after a bit of googling, looks like it might be 15% = Max EP (cleaning), and 50% might be Max EN, so penetration.....

hi its normally the higher the balance the deeper the weld,lower the balance the more cleaning

Try welding with the balance knob wound fully in each direction,
The weld with the wider silver etching area that also balls the tungsten point is the max cleaning side of the adjustment.

cheers for the imput fellas, it was as I thought 15% = Max EP (cleaning), and 50% = Max EN (penetration)
