Hey all.
I've read the forum how-to's, so I think I know how to start, but any last minute tips are welcome.
I've got a totally stripped down 4x4 body. All the rust that I could find by poking around has been cut out and re-welded, but there's areas of surface rust which I can't reach with sandpaper etc. The rust in these areas doesn't look like it has penetrated the metal, looks like just needs rust removing and painting.
So the plan is to blast those areas. They only account for a few percent of the cars surface area. Virtually none of the areas are on exterior bodywork except a few spots on sills and roof.
I've bought super fine grade crushed glass and I have a pressure pot blaster, 3.5mm tungsten tip, and 32 CFM compressor pair.
I was going to roll the body out the garage and make a start next week...
