Got a Glow worm 30cxi Combi boiler started peeing water out last week turned out to be the R/H hydro block a common fault that's the second one its had This one is different design to the old one so lets hope it wont leak.

Gets up this morning turns shower on no hot water !!!!!!!!!

I Empathise with your problem been there myself on numerous occasions, however I would suggest you run the spell check over your thread title. I think you will find it's spelt AARRGGHH !!!!!

Not a fan of gloworm, I've fixed a few where the filter has broken and just flooded out

Check the pressure, some models have a digital gauge that's rubbish so put it to 1.8, will only be about 1.2 in reality

what are these modern new fangled combi boiler thingies......I think I'll stick with my old Concord WRS boiler. I'll be gutted when I eventually have to replace it. It's now 38 years old and still going strong. The last part replaced on it was a gas valve 15 years ago and that was £80.

I see this a lot and I 100% agree the simple boilers are good at what they do. Other than a thermocouple you wouldn't get bits for it now, mind you it's only 2 other parts in the whole thing.....

However efficiency, it was 65% when it was new (ish) and new boilers are 97-87%

You don't have to have a combi tho, can still get open vent, won't work on gravity circs but could convert the DHW to pumped if you wanted to keep the cylinder

Found the culprit this broke (some kind of filter) up and a bit jammed it the flow sensor

Fantastic boilers the Intergas. The only one on the market that claims to run in fully condensing mode for hot water if I remember rightly.

Well worth the extra few quid.

Baxi...[hawk, spit] - the one I had was fine until it went wrong, which it did, frequently and expensively.
The DHW heat exchanger had these four 'quad' style o-ring seals, they would just give up the ghost and water went everywhere. At about £10 each it wasn't funny. In the end I fitted a pressure reducer to the mains incomer to knock it down a couple of Bar and it was a lot better after that... but then the stepper-motor actuated diverter would stick and there'd be no heating...
Found a few spare shekels down the back of the sofa about 12 years ago, bought a Wickes-branded Halstead and have been toasty ever since

The intergas has only 4 moving parts, but they claim most engineers never open it, the boilers are that reliable. The burner/heat exchanger is unique in that there are two separate circuits that are cast into the aluminium of the rear plate. The domestic hot water is 12mm in diameter. It's never going to block unlike conventional plate-type exchangers that you find in every other boiler. And because of that unique design you don't need a diverter.
