do u mean u are just starting out and the welds arent up 2 much and u need to grind a lot of the rough stuff off to make it look like sumthing nearusing a lot of disks
That was what passes for humour in my world, I'm sure i'll get better, and stop posting pointless posts, (try saying that! 3 times very fast..oppss there i go again,)
I think Drains thought better of what he said, so he deleted it! (within a minute of posting)
My apologies richie, and snoop (you touchy sod)!
Just to add, I deleted my own post, as it was pointless, and not contributing. I may have felt (apparently wrongly), that the OP was also not making a major contribution to the wonderful world of learning to weld. Doesn't mean that I'm rude, just plain spoken. It could also have been tongue in cheek. Who knows?
I am still at the "weld 10 minutes = grind 30 minutes" stage. Learning curve, I know. It's just that I am still on the uphill side of that curve. Sure fun though, ain't it?
Thanks guys, i was just commenting on just how difficult it is to get good welds, I like the "weld for 10, grind for 30" analogy, i'm sure as time goes by i'll be proud of my welds and not grind them..
No Prob Drains, i must say, the information on this site is second to none, especially all the guides, Top Site!!
Richie, if you want hints and tips, you have only to ask. Put up some pics of what you're doing and folk will be happy to point you in the right direction.
