A pressing question

The time has come that the breaks need done on the isuzu again. Its going to cost an arm and a leg, I have some but not all the tools to do the job as I had previously done the disks on my golf. I'm going to invest in a press to help me, as my mum the spoil sport won't let me put parts in her freezer to shrink them to just drop them in when the time comes for reassembly. I'm sure a small 10 or 15 ton bench press will be perfectly adequate, with steel prices just now and lack of time I'm going to buy one. Would like it to be robust but not to heavy as will have to hump it in and out of the back of the pickup every so often. Any one got any opinions on the following.

Can’t help with them sorry but can say I’ve got the little 10T clarke bench one and it’s done everything I’ve needed of it. Fair but cheaper than those on the links from memory. Regards lumping you can lift the, by yourself much easier if you take the plates etc off.

The dmax has disks that are pressed on to the hubs and wheel bearings, bit odd I know. They are more like truck than car breaks.

I have seen the clarke 10 ton it looks a good wee unit.

Personally I would just use the freezer when she was out but if you are being watched put a load of salt water in a coolbox with a load of ice and stick the bits in a bag for life and dump them in.

Unfortunately mum's old enough she's not out the house in the evenings when I have time for the job.

Just stick them in freezer/poly bags, then they'll not be in contact with the other contents.

Well that is what this more sort of is talking myself into getting one even though I can probably manage fine without.

Just wrap a bit of pasty round it before you bring it in to pop it in the freezer.
If she asks tell her it's a pie. It's the perfect disguise.

Hold an can of air duster upside down and spray on the part you want to shrink.
Its basically liquid CO2 and will cool parts down to about - 40c I think.
There is a vid on youtube by a canadian guy, channel name is AvE.
By the way, the guy is hilarious and rips tools apart for review.

Tried that trick and know it well this part is just too big unfortunately and it dose get mighty expensive as a way of doing it over time.

CO² extinguisher will give you lots of chill at a faster rate than a piddly little can, the ones with a round 'horn' would be best for your situation.
