I broke the handle on one of my old grinders so I drilled a piece of 15x 5mm flat and bent a right angle in it. It was brilliant, you could put a fibre disc on it, clamp the handle in the vice and use it for shaping and sharpening and still use it as a grinder without doing anything else to it.
