That would be my guess too, looks like it would come in handy in tight spaces, maybe exhaust studs for example??

brightspark Member Messages 41,272 Location yarm stockton on tees Dec 22, 2019 #4 probably used with a tube with a t bar to turn it and pins on the end to engage the flats. as said probably for cleaning threads out as it wouldn't back off for cutting threads
