A bit of help needed, MMA small job

Not sure where to post this, Mods please move if needed.

The builder doing the new patio at my brother’s place in Maidstone has managed to shear off a box section gatepost and it needs welding back on. 200 miles for me and means dragging the MIG gear, or buying some MMA cables and rods.

Anyone on here close enough to nip over and stick it back together? Beer vouchers available.

Location is Barming on the west side of Maidstone.

In my humble opinion it'd be best to sink a new one.

Presumably it's been sheared at ground level? In which case a welded joint there won't last all that long.

Possibly, but would need catches welding on so still needs a tool (and skill) he doesn’t have.
