Thanks chaps, I don't mind spending a bit of money on a good one - what I don't want is one with rubber tool rests. My old Clarke was nearly 30 years old and the tool rest was not half bad, not like what you get today.
Just to let you know I bit the bullet and went with the Creusen HP7200T Powerline Grinder, its a bit more expensive than a lot of them but what the heck you only live once. It turned up this morning and after a little bit of assembly it was up and running - wow, it's so smooth. No dressing of the wheels needed and decent rigid tool rests which you can change the angle without a major faff. Initial opinion- well worth the extra dosh. And it comes with a 5 year guarantee
That looks a lot like the Luna which I have also got. Nice big motor on them. I have a couple of Clarkes but they are easy to stall out if you are using one output with a wire wheel say.
