6mm mild steel bar

Bought the above from fleabay. Total cost of 4 quid for a 5.5 meter length and free delivery. Not received the tine for over a week so I sent him an email. Out of the blue I get a phone call explaining that THIER account has bee hacked and that my payment has been credited to the hacked account so they recieved no money from me, yet they have a record of my transaction.

I'mrubbish with computers so take his word for it and anyway it's not the end of the world over 4quid. I've been told that I've got to order again and see that the price has doubled and delivery has now changed from free to 15 quid.

I think this is a little fishy so won't be ordering from them!

I've never payed to buy any metal before, so where can I get 6mm mild steel bar around 6m long in and around Northampton or Milton Keynes and how much should I be paying for it

for a start contact ebay about this at the very least you will get your cash back and if the seller has done a dodgy he will get whats comming

It's normally 6m lengths for around £2.50 in a good sized order. Just go to your local steel stockholder on a Saturday and ask, you may have to pay a fiver if you want it cut up,. And start a case this ebay guy is a scammer who forgot he had to post it.....oops

No idea where you could buy locally, but i only pay 2-3 quid for a 6/6.5m length of 6mm mild so you were paying over the odds to start with, mind you i collect mine.

Ok thanks guy, dispute opened in eBay resolution centre and papal contacted.

Now can anyone recommend a stock holder in and around northants or Milton Keynes
