I'm in the process of writing a structural WPS that will involve FCAW as well as GMAW, and I need some help. I have been told that a 6G test on sch80 pipe >4" will cover just about any position and material thickness, and for the most part I have been able to see that that is true from reading D1.1. However due to my lack of experience in writing procedures I am still a little unsure of how the procedure is supposed to look. Does anyone have an example of a 6G FCAW/GMAW WPS? Thanks.
