This is the steering box fitted to my '31 Ford Model A, fitting a 53-56 F100 box is a common conversion.
Hopefully most are done a bit better than mine, it was a bit slack so I had a peek inside.
Worm must have been a bit worn or broken off, so it was nicely built up with weld and presumably once hand filed smooth ish, that went well then!
Steering wheel shaft was beautifully grafted on, welded up and hand filed to perfection.
Steering wheel taper welded up and expertly hand filed to perfection.
Outer column welded to box with sheet metal spacer.
