500-600 mig set best suggestions?

As the title says looking for a nice set for 500/600 quid mainly up to 5mm thick stuff. Been a welder for 15 years so looking something quite good i know im not going to get anywhere near the best with the budget but any suggestions

You could get a decent second hand cebora 200amp for that price

Search for a used Murex Tradesmig around the 200 amp mark.

There's a nice looking hobart 250a set on the bay at the mo... advertised as 3 phase, but it's switchable to 220v

Me too. I was looking forward to proper man tool advice. ( perhaps i should rephrase that?)

Must admit I had to read it twice

MY old blue Lincoln was 500/600 Amps CONTINUOUS----- and could also do 1.5 mm plate with 1mm wire as it had an inductance setting adjuster on the front panel, never had an issue with it, best welder I ever had.

500 amps is a bit overkill lol. Any1 had experience with the parweld xti 181

I've seen the XTM 181C in person and its smaller than what pictures of it look like.
I've never used it but the wire feeder looks real nice & the set up on the front looks nice and simple.

My thoughts exactly nice looking set ive actually seen it in person and does look well built, wanted to go brand new rather than 2nd hand off fleabay with warranty and knowing how the set has been treated and get one for just under 500
