43mm external box section steel?

Hi, a mate is looking for a 7m length of the above. It's to extend the arms on a Claas hay rake and needs to be thickish wall, current internal size is 35mm, so 4mm wall would suit.
Has he got an obscure German metric size or is it imperial 1 5/8,

any clues?

It's obscure in metric or imperial. He could use some 50x3 which it would fit inside like a sliding fit.
