Now the cold weather is approaching and my having added a 3D printer to my assortment of garage gadgets I was wondering how much the ambient temp makes a difference to prints?
Obviously nozzle temp and bed temp can be set and the printer does its thing to maintain those settings but what about the enclosure itself?
My Creality K2 doesnt have the ability to heat the chamber itself although I note it does have the ability moniter it.
The last week or so it's been holding stead at 30 degrees but today the temps were well down on last week and the chamber temp was 27deg. Not a huge difference but knowing nothing about it I thought I'd ask what affect it might have. I upped the bed temp from 50 to 60deg and that seemed to bring the temp up to 29 but there is obviously only so high I can go with the bed temp before I will affect the prints.
