30amps using 3kva genny ?

ok i need to weld 1mm steel. i have a clarke 135tm mig and a honda 3kva generator.

i cannot get a power supply to where the work is so was wondering if the genny would work ok with the mig on 30amps ??

would it damage the welder ?

anything else i should know ??

Hi i have run my big welder which goes upto
200 amps off my 2.8 kva geni fine admitidly only
only on setting 4 out of 7 as didnt need more
power. So you should be fine on 30amps.

yea thanks m8 .. im more worried about damaging the welder than the genny,
i will give it a try and see how it go¬s
