304 Stainless Flat Bar Price

I've been asked if I'll do some more wee sculptures and so am about to buy my first ever steel from the merchants in town. Would anyone who normally buys stainless mind casting their eye over the prices below please?

40 x 5 SS 304 Flat Bar @ 4m => £32.50 + VAT
50 x 6 SS 304 Flat Bar @ 4m => £42.00 + VAT

Now this is the first time I've used this supplier. They're local and the only ones I have access to without needing delivery. I will not use much at all and I don't know anyone there so I'm happy enough that the prices will be higher than what others will be getting. That said, if they're 100x more expensive I'll look elsewhere, I just don't have anything to compare to without asking!

For small quantities that's not too bad, I bought a one off length of 50 x 3 304 flat last week, £22 ex vat, so that tallies with the 50 x 6 at £42.
