Hi, I do wish people wouldn't use water and pipes to explain electricity, It's not a good analogy and often confuses.

...
It would even be possible to make a water cathode ray tube.

I remember going to a lecture given by Keelavite Hydraulics 50 years ago, and it was stated that hydraulics could do anything that DC electricity could do, Even a light bulb with a fine capillary tube and enough pressure forced through it to make it glow.
I know enough to change the rotation on a motor but that is the extent of my knowledge apart from 440V makes heap big bang & sparks and will probably kill you if you mess with it.
Electro magnet might be possible if the hydraulics drove a generator to power the magnet?
Well I thought it was a very good way of explaining the theory to------ thickos-------

Bit disappointed with this response although putting the couch and smiley face makes it ok.........Not!!
HEHE Well we get elect'eds pushed into our lives then sucked out again and we end up paying a fortune for each of them.It still doesn't explain why, if we get electrons pushed into our houses and then pulled out again,
Just think what They would charge if They could figure a separate charge to suck the electrons back out.
