3/4" Brewers Hose Wanted

What better subject for the Brew Room forum !

I'm in desperate need of some 3/4" 'Brewers Hose'. Used to deliver ales etc, but my Induction Furnace uses it to encase the 70 mm CSA copper cables to drive the actual furnace, and pumps chilled water down them to stop the cables melting (lots of amps here !!!!)

I finally managed to get my furnace working this afternoon after 13 years in storage, and had just finished the first melt when a hose burst. Now I had rather expected to have to change them, but this stuff is rather pricey so I been trying to avoid the expense.

So, does anyone have a line on this stuff at a sensible price ? I'm being quoted upwards of £16 per metre and I need about 25 metres

What is it specifically in this application that requires "brewer's hose"? The most common brand seems to be Brewflex. The blurb here:

are for two different types, so you need to check which one. One says 16 bar pressure, the other 10 bar. Both have a butyl liner and are food grade. At least one of these three properties (food grade) is not relevant in your application. Are there other products that have a similar pressure rating and liner that might do the job? Perhaps ring a proper hose supplier and ask if they have a non-food equivalent to Brewflex.

Yes I just found the Anchor Pumps offering and so far that's the winner.

It needs to stand the pressure - 150 psi rated should be fine, that's what the original was.

It needs good electrical insulation, so no carbon colouring in the rubber, but of course that's not usually specified as my application is an oddball!

It needs to be flexible, as the inverting furnace body with the crucible tilts 180 degrees

It needs to stand up to a bit of rough treatment as foundry floors are quite a hostile environment

It needs to be cheap as I'm skint

I've placed an order with Anchor Pumps - significantly less pricey than elsewhere and I have dealt with them before for Grundfos pump spares and they seemed an OK bunch.

Hi, Air con hose? They are lined.
