I have to paint some wooden shelving, mirrors, etc for our bathroom. They are going to be some shade of grey, exact colour to be decided yet. I have a decent selection of grey enamels in stock, including a dark grey & white of the same brand so I can mix my own shade.
To make it harder wearing I would like to clear coat it & have plenty of 2k cc in stock as well.
What I'm wondering is if I can safely apply the 2k cc over 1k enamel?
I've tried a google search & got conflicting answers but I'm sure some of you will have real world experience of this.
The other option is to get a water based satin coat mixed at the paint shop but I'm not sure about the durability of it.
