Im going to find some photos from the local 2cv autocross rounds. Its hugely entertaining and they quite often roll over and things.
They are quite well prepped, and roll cages and harnesses are mandatory, but its still a sight to see 40 odd 2cv's and R4's charging into the first bend barging each other out the way into the mudwall

I wish I had a photo of a "2CV" I saw at an All Wheel Drive Club event a few years ago, some one had just bolted all the panels to a caged Range Rover chassis, big gaps everywhere, just a bit of fun I think.

french engineering can be "strange". good quality (not always) and nice stuff, but hard to work on.
oh and the Solex that we have hahaha. lots of special tools needed


my limited experience with the 2cv is that it is easier to maintain/work on.

The car I found it was easiest to work on was an old Opel kadett (Vauxhall something). It was really funny and simply designed. If you could Lego, you could fix it.

Vauxhall chevette. I had kadett wheels on my chevette hatchback.

I once had the clutch changed, and my friend persuaded me to put it in somewhere to get it changed as by the time we hired a hoist etc (didnt have one back then), it was cheaper to have them do it.
The aforementioned clutch specialist took 12mins to change the clutch, from driving onto the ramp to backing off...
Watching a team of 5 perfectly co-ordinated, one had gearbox on his shoulder and slid it back, another dived in and did the clutch etc etc. It was a friday afternoon last thing mind and they were all happy to go home...

2cv racing is fun dutchman, Im sure malcom would do it if he lived over here too
