I'm looking at getting the above machine, had anyone got one? How do you rate it? Is it worth spending the extra cash and getting the water cooler too?
I bought mine 2nd-hand a few months ago. Have used it about 4 times on both AC and DC. I havn't yet fully tested all the functions, but I cannot fault the machine so far. It does seem like a nice machine for the money.
Its runs from a 32A socket with a 'C' type breaker. It trips a 'B' type breaker.
I'm not a huge R-tech fan, but that has nothing to do with their machines.
I bought some stainless last week from a little shop that only does stainless work and they had the machine you are interested in sitting on top of a big, American machine that did not appear to be in service.
I asked the guy what he thought of the R-tech machine and he just kind of shrugged his shoulders a muttered something about it welding metal together. They had had no problems with theirs and it saw work every day in a commercial fab shop.
He did say they don't do loads of work on AC as they do mainly marine stainless work.
