25 vs 50 ltr ? no point?

so i am never going to be able to house a man size compressor , ive been making do painting wheels , mirror covers and blow ins etc with a aldi 25ltr compressor

the offer of a almost unused 50ltr has come up for cheap , but seems to be the same thing more or less with just a bigger tank , spraying with this would use it in seconds so both end up running non stop after the initial extra few seconds use

am i missing anything before i sell it on ? very little gain having the bigger unit taking up space?

What size motor is it? I've got a 50L 3HP compressor and it's fine for painting panels with a modern full size gun or the cheap mini guns.
I think the difference between a 25L and 50L compressor is quite a decent jump.

think theyre both roughly 2hp , cant find the specs on the aldi one as its old

only interested as its cheap , will move it on if no better than mine

Reciever size is not as important as the actual compressor size...

If you want a lot of air, getting a fairly large second hand two or three cylinder compressor and building it onto an angle iron frame, with a little receiver and whatever sized motor your wiring will support is a viable option.

Sure it will force the compress to work pretty hard, but if you don't have the space for the "normal" way to implement it, it's better than not at all.

From full pressure, it'll take slightly longer to switch on and slightly longer to turn off, for the larger tank size, no real gain.

If you want to upgrade a bit.
Save up and get a V2 direct drive,13cfm with a 50ltr or 100ltr tank.

I don't want or wish to spray cars personally, but I do have a V2 13cfm compressor sitting on a shelf, screwed to the wall, so have no floor space taken up...

One of Aldi fineness V2 13cfm compressor units, about 12 years old now...
