240 Volt 32A Industrial Angled Surface Mount Socket 2P+E looking for some thing like this

as above doing a kitchen rewire and under a dubble outside socket want to put in a supply for welder runing off the 32 amp ring main

can i put a 32 amp or is 16 amp my best i can put on it there is 7 other sockets running off this circut but the plug will be more for testing stuff and i am only a hobbly welder so will get very little use

does this socket pictured just screw on the outside wall or is it suposed to be be used on a box

My external sockets have a twist lock cover to keep water out - example

did think of that the socket is under cover an lean to as such its very dry where is it would ip44 not sufice

If you think IP44 is suitable for the location, it shouldn't be a problem.

u can put a 30 amp socket on the ring main if u really want to but your not supposed to take 30 amp of any part of a ring

and that is the answer i needed for the cooker question so putting in a new 30 for the hob was the right thing to do

yes in domestic but industrial u can wire a ring and use 16 amp sockets but it must be on a 16 amp breaker . u cant have 13 amp sockets running off it as well

i wired a ring in my garage and wired a couple of 16 amp sockets but had to wire a 16amp breaker rather than a 32amp I need to change it some time because it can trip if the compressors kick in together with a few other items on
