20 gauge CLARKE 90 EN

hI,

I am repairing a moggie which is 20 gauge on the floor . I have a clarke 90 EN and will use 0.6 wire and argon mix gas.

What wire and power settings shoud I set on the welder?

There is only really one way to find the ideal setting, practice on some steel of the same thickness, there are so many variants that can affect the weld, condition of the MIG...liner , wire speed etc and even the person welding and their skill level, distance and angle etc.

how did you get on with your moggies floor? were you plug welding or seam welding?
