Look for an "Extended nipple" to match whatever thread is on the valve, 2" bsp probably, I've never seen a 2" one but I've never looked, I know BES do them in 1" pipe.

Just checked BES website I’m gonna order the valve and extended nipple there

We outsource all our machining to a mate of mine but it’s always a night time turn around as they won’t buy a dedicated machine

Problem we have is we can’t pay cash for anything has to be through the books
It holds stuff up as we couldn’t even buy some thing from the building next door without it gojng through the books

You ideally want a tapered thread and no relief groove on pipe. It's doable on a lathe but much easier taking it to someone with a pipe threader.

PTFE or thread glue plenty straight threads about.
Most hydraulic nipples are straight thread with PTFE

I used to design valves for a living only low pressure ones though up to 15000 PSI, boring i know right 
What sort of pressure are you looking at? What is the medium running through the valve?
Cheap Chinese valves will have Delrin or PTFE sets which is fine for most low pressure applications, if your looking at a high pressure application then you would normally switch over to a PEEK seated valve.
If you want to buy a valve again not sure where you are in the country but we use a company called Orseal for all our nipples and valves that we buy at my current place
As for sealing on a BSP threaded connection i would always recommend PTFE as its easier to make and break the seal, however if you need the valve in a specific orientation and access is a problem a strong thread sealant is the way to go.
