1st time welding

i am just starting to learn to weld and i have a miller migmatic 171 and
i'am 16 and going to reweld the body of my car as its rather rusty! for when i'am 17 got some tips from a friend on what to do cant upload pics now try later

You have a very good welding set there, i have several millers, XMTs & Toughcase wire feeders etc and few miller inverters, not many sets that can perfrom as they do.

Make sure the steel is clean, make sure you are confident and competent by practicing on material of the same gauge first, dont go straight into it and blow the panels to bits!

nothing wrong with those for a newcomer to welding, you should be proud of those, cleaning the steel so it is bright and shiney would really help. well done.
