1mm steel

i have to weld some 1mm steel with my mig flux cored wire .08 what settings on my clarke 105 turbo would it be better to spot weld so to get the two tubes in position then more or less join the tacks up i dont have any 1mm to practice on hence the post for help before i blow holes through the job
