Bit steep for a set with problems! It's amazing what people will pay on eBay. I miss the freeads there were some real bargains to be had if you were quick.

Its worth twice the current bid as a dc only welder though.id be half tempted if I had the cash spare

it would take my total to 6 welders not functioning right,0 working perfect.

If the AC was working it would fetch around 1800 + on auction. If it's in the hands of a compitant guy that can fix for a couple hundred and win it for 700-800 then I would say that person has struck a result. Unless you know your stuff and can fix it cheap enough then it's a risk.

as said its cheap as a dc hf tig, but as the ac is dead, there is the risk of the dc dying soon too. I'd take a punt at about 350 but that's just me

There was a guy that came on here that could fix inverters and quoted some prices if i remember?
