I mentioned this sewing machine restoration in another thread.
It's a 1902 Gritzner VS4.
It went better than I expected. I still have the woodwork to complete but the mechanics were in really good condition. Mostly it consisted of cleaning old oil off and re-lubricating plus freeing off seized parts. It's not a cosmetic restoration, wifey wants a useable machine.
After this I threaded it up (which included learning how to load the shuttle) and gave it a go
Happy with that
It produces a nice short neat stitch in forward and reverse and is beautifully quiet.
Now for the wood bothering bit
