How hard can it be? Apparently very. I can get 16mm 20mm But 18, No. It has to be M18, I cannot change that dimension. At the moment, I need 150- 200mm just to prove a concept. I'm in the Midlands nr Lichfield If anyone has anything suitable. Don't really need it posting as I could just as easily use e-bay. If anyone has a bolt that length, It does need to be Fully threaded. Cheers all.

They had come up on my facebook feed. Delivery from them is quite high. I went with e-bay in the end, free delivery as well. As I say, It's a proof of concept project. M18 isn't a run of the mill size really.
A specialist supplier like orbital fasteners, accu, of even a local specialist would probably do it, buy not in the like of toolstation, screwfix etc.
Bit like m14, certainly about, but not a generally used size day to day.
I don't know what your plan is, but could anything else be changed at the pritotype/proving stage to accommodate the 16 or 20 that's easily available, and likely half the price...?

tried one, But there are a couple I haven't tried yet
can't change the M18 as It screws into a cast hole with no room to drill and retap
