Sent for this from Bangood after reading good reviews. Won't be used much but I already have a couple of Makita batteries so worth a punt. I did read that there may not be enough grease in the gears so first thing was to check.... see pics

Now filled with new clean grease and seems to work fine ...three speeds so better than a raving mad beast.... and very portable

I acquired the raving-mad-beast version a little while ago. Eats batteries, but okay for short bursts of wire-brushing etc. I’ll probably invest in a variable-speed Makita in time, for more control and less fear, but these are great value for the price.

The guard is a bit flimsy, though.

I too have one of those Fakita 18v grinders from Banggood & I have to say I have been very impressed by it. I have done a side by side comparison with a genuine Makita & to be honest there's not much difference. It costs 5x the price but its not 5x better. The Makita is smoother to use but you are not going to be using a cordless grinder for extended periods anyway!

To get the best from it you need at least 4Ah batteries, 5Ah better.

I keep meaning to add some extra grease to the gearbox, must do that tonight.

Anything bought from bang good is on sale because it is cheap - and likely flawed, often rejects or sub-standard items.

I suspect most of the good reviews come from those that bang good pay, in some way. I don’t believe them.

I've reviewed on Banggood about my Fakita stuff. Genuinely happy and not getting paid to say so.

Banggood stuff is hit & miss. If you stick to certain brands like drillpro for cutting tools the results are good. The lathe tools & drill bits I bought there have been excellent, though both were bought after watching @doubleboost review on his youtube channel.

On the other hand any measuring stuff like combination squares have been far from precise. But Banggood are great at sorting problems out, if a product is faulty they will always offer a replacement or a refund.

My experience too. Excellent customer service albeit in Chinglish. They refunded me on all 4 solar lights I bought when I'd only had issue with one.

I cancelled a purchase too thinking it'd be crap. No issue. Then had a change of heart and bought it again. It was a Fakita 18V sabre saw and it's been brilliant.
