18/10 Stainless

Anyone familiar with this? I'm guessing it's austenitic as I think I've used 18/8 free cutting in the past but not sure.
Can I use 316L filler to (attempt ) to tig it?

yes thats fine, 18% chrome and 8% Nickel (approx), according to the actual grade, free cutting has a bit of sulphur added to aid machinability

I assume its low carbon 18/10. If so you need 308L weld metal. 316L is overkill and can cause long term problems.
Free cutting is very difficult (if not impossible) to weld without defects

Ahhh, I see.

I've only got 316L and can't really justify buying a boxload of 308L (not sure if I can even get it here).
Got some 308L mig wire though I think, could I use that at a push?
