16mm Angle grinder?!

I recently ordered some scotchbrite polishing wheels for a 4" angle grinder - but not fully reading the decription properly missed the fact that they are a poxy 16mm bore?! Maybe I am missing something but every 4" angle grinder I have ever owned has been 22mm?

I've tried googling and ebaying 16mm angle grinders etc but nothing comes up (apart from other 16mm discs/polishing wheels)? How are you supposed to use this size of wheel, am I barking up the wrong tree?

Could be for a mandrel on a flexi shaft or for chucking in a electric drill or die grinder.

100mm discs seem to have a 16mm bore, 110 and above 22mm, so maybe order 110mm instead of 100?

Is your angle grinder actually 4" (100mm) or 4.5" (115mm)? As above, 100mm discs usually have a 16mm bore, but are far less common than 115mm or 125mm discs, which have a 22mm bore.

I have a air powered cut off tool which uses 16mm bore discs, bit of a pain because you can not use part worn 115mm discs in it.

Umm maybe its me getting confused then, guess your average grinder is 4.5"! Bit of a pain, why do they feel the need to change the bore for the sake of a half inch OD difference.

I have a air powered cut off tool which uses 16mm bore discs, bit of a pain because you can not use part worn 115mm discs in it.

I just machined up a boss that allows me to use my old 115 worn discs in the small air cutter.
