150TE fan not working....

Okay bit of a strange one this, was using the welder today, everything was working fine then I moved the welder a bit closer to my work area and it pulled the mains plug out from the socket.

When I plugged it back in I couldn't hear the fan anymore, I assumed the fuse had gone but the welder still operates and welds (up to the point where I started having tip problems but that's another story...)

Has anyone else had this problem, is the fan somehow fused seperately?

sounds like a loose wire to me

had the back off today, blew all the cobwebs and dust out with the airline, checked the wiring and there was nothing obvious

Sorted it though, turned out one of the fan blades was bent and catching on the bigger of the 2 transformers, straightened the blade and all is well, quieter too

Also noticed the wire feed controller was loose so tightened that up while I was there.

thankfully, must of moved the fan a bit when I moved the welder, was only catching a little but it's not the most powerful thing!

Now i'm just waiting for my tap set so I can re-tap the swan neck
