150en turbo torch replacement

The torch on my 150en turbo is knackered as in some of the wiring is melted,the trigger doesn't work the screws don't hold it closed anymore.Does it have to be replaced with a Clarke one or will any hard wired torch with gas valve in handle & of the correct voltage fit ?

As Said Mine Works Fine But Well Used For Car Welding. Euro Torch Would Be Nice As Looks To Be A "Plug And Play" Style.

Depending on the physical layout a Eurotorch conversion would be worthwhile and cost effective. The thing to watch is that you will need a gas solenoid if you are replacing a torch with a built-in gas valve.

Assuming it will physically fit it would be straightforward, probably best to get the help of somebody who can read a circuit diagram though!

Quick Thought On Gas Valve.

My 160en Torch Head Has A Gas Valve In It Already - So I Figure You Can Shorten The Existing Cable And Pipe's And Us "As Is" Within The Body Of The Machine By Lining Up The Wire Liner That Goes Through The Gas Valve With The Wire Drive Roller !

Hope That Makes Sense And Would Depend On Available Space.

Best Solution Would Of Course Be A Gas Solenoid Valve From Weldquip

Mick how you going to operate the gas valve button if it's mounted in the m/c?.
Fuff66uk there was a big writeup by a guy who had done a conversion on another make of welder (think his brother had stuffed up there "shared" welder!) Another option would be to find one from different maker. Look on ebay for "mig for sale, not working but has new tourch" ect. And get on with that consul...... : )

Did Not Realise It Was Button Operated Only Had It A Couple Of Weeks.
