135te best earth clamp

hi, i was wondering which earth clamp was best for my clarke 135te as the one thats on does not look the best, i have seen the screw on one's on ebay they look very secure, have looked on weldequip but cant see any clamps, any advice would be appreciated..stan..

try something like this or you could just weld a bolt for the earth to a pair of mole grips but main point is a clean earth just as clean as the bit you are welding

I removed the clamp from my 135TE too as it was less than useless. I've recently replaced it with one identical to the ebay linked one but i got it from Axminster.

I've never been a fan of croc type earth clamps, i've always replaced any with a more solid screw type clamp

You can shop around at welders merchants or buy one from ebay for about £8

So much better, I just rate them for a stronger earth bond than buy using croc clips which are prone to slipping off the workpiece, or table.

I've had a couple run over with a forktruck before too

The Clamp ones are definately the way to go

Well done Stan, those ones on ebay are rated upto 600amps so it should be fine with your welder and hopefully last you longer than a croc clip

thanks engineer i will let you know if theres a differance, i ordered it on the 11th estimated arrival 19th i could walk to doncaster and walk back to blackpool in less time (if i was younger)

finaly arrived after 3 contacts to seller he said he would post another one that i have to sign for, not sure he belived i didnt get it.
anyway its bigger than it looks in the pics, i think i will have to cut a battery cable to add to my smaller earth cable to fit the hole in the clamp so the grub nut fits ok...well impressed with the sturdy looks,should give a solid connection..STAN..
