135EN Turbo: 1.2mm Wire?

Hello,

Quick question: im miles away from my welder and cant go check.

Will the clarke 135EN turbo use 1.2mm gasless MIG wire? Im fairly sure im using 0.8 or 0.9 now (cant remember that either!) but wondering can I change tips and using 1.2. Does the standard wire drive roller have space for it if I flip it over?

Im guessing not...

Hi William,
I cant see a manual for the 135EN online but the manual for the following machines only mentions 0.6 and 0.8 wire as far as I can see (I think 1.2 would be for much bigger machines).

MIG110E - MIG135TE - MIG151TE
MIG110EN - MIG130EN - MIG160EN

Hmm, thats what I could gather too.. Thats a pain: I just found some really cheap 5kG rolls of gasless 1.2 wire on ebay.

Your maximum amps is just about the minimum for 1.2 gasless so the duty cycle would be pants even if you did get a roller and the feed motor was strong enough. I've not seen diy tips in the bigger sizes but you could put a drill through one just to try it out. If the wire is cheap enough it might be worth an experiment.
