130 SIP Wire feed stuck on

Hi all,
I was welding the other day and was just coming to the end of a fairly long session when the wire feed became stuck on. I stripped the gun and looked for obvious problem there but could find none so I presume there is an issue with the welder itself.
I've just changed swans neck, liner etc
Any ideas?

probably the blue see through relay on the PCB -you have to take the other side cover off to get to it. Worth checking with the multimeter and a quick check that there is no debris or dampness on the PCB
Read the numbers on the relay and get another one off Maplins and the like and solder it in

It might be the device (transistor?) driving the relay thats at fault. Most relays at power up are open and when operated the contacts close and in this case operate the wire feed motor. To check switch off welder, then back off wire feed roller to stop it spewing wire out! then as you turn it on watch the relay to see if it flicks over, thus operating the wire feed. This would indicate the relay is being driven by somthing to operate it ie transistor (as you have already checked tourch switch)

Whats happening down in Someset One guy with a non working wire feed motor and one with a wire feed that won't stop. Not lubricating them with that Zider is ya

Odd, Finally got around to checking the wire feed this morn and it is working again. Perhaps this is an issue related to temperature?

It's the relay, contacts are welding shut during welding, the plastic cover on the relay will have a nice black deposit on the inside.
You can try cleaning the relay contacts but the only long term fix is to fit a new relay on the PCB.

As MM said may well be relay. Pic attached is what the relay looks like inside. Just above the contacts will be where the soot from sparking will be and this shows on the blue plastic cover
