12volt relay low current drive

hi all im doing a car project in the future I want to use button on the steering wheel I can only use low amp buttons as higer amps one are huge.my question is what do I use to be fit to use the low amp buttons for higher amp outputs maybe a 12volt relay low current drive any input on this would be great.

yeah just connect a relay to the small switch and let the relay do the high current switching

infact if its just a push to make switch, non latching you can get relays that use push to make and push to break ie push the button once its on push it again and its off

just look on ebay for self latching relay and make sure its states that it will do that as there are others with 2 coils that require 2 switches

do you have to use a board or can you just use a rely

You can just use a relay but would need 2 switches if it needs to latch, one to make one to break

is there a rely you can buy that could use one button without a board? I was looking at the link you put up it is 10amp cant find any larger amp ones

not that I have seen but if you need the one button operation you could always replace the relay with a higher amperage
