110 transformer

Got a 3.3kva site transformer that's burnt out its circuit breaker, there's nothing wrong with it, except the cheap CB they used. Soldered in a 13 amp fuse to bodge it until I fix it properly.

What should I replace it with ?

I've got loads of assorted consumer board MCB's, any good ?

Ideally some thing I can salvage for free off junk.

If the fuse is on the 110v side you'll pop it quite easily.

110v transformer cut out trip switch for 3.3kva 3.0kva 1.5kva 11 quid just select correct value

Just remembered where I saw a transformer on a rubbish pile, i ignored it cause they are always shorted out, I'll go and get it later.

that happened to me, father and son engineering place opposite chucked one out, said it had gone open circuit so I grabbed it new cable on it and the son said what ever you do, don't tell the old man

Got it, will test it out tommorow. 10 amp circuit breaker on it ( 240 v side )

Dug it out of a pile of builders rubble, Surprisingly its100% working' but the lid is smashed, and so is the bottom of the case. Its had a hard life !

The bottom couple of inches of the transformer are not encapsulated, no idea why, but I could pour in epoxy and bond a new base on it ?

Circuit breaker is 10 amps, I don't know if it will be the right amps for my other 3.3 kVA ?

i just made a plywood lid for mine and used a kitchen drawer handle then fit a plate underneath and araldited it in catty paste or anything will do
