1-knob MMA welding machine arc-force, hot-start setup help

Hi guys,
I just bought a Daewoo DAMINI 140IT machine. At first glance, this machine is a simple generic 1-knob machine. However, when I tried to use it, the welding process was terrible, it was hardly even capable of igniting an arc. As I tried to debug (check contacts, power cords etc.) I discovered that the machine has a pretty detailed menu system. The first level is achieved by pressing the knob shortly which selects a setting that is adjusted by rotating the knob. After a few seconds, the machine saves the settings and returns to the main current selecting option. The second level is reached by pressing the knob fairly long (~3 secs). After playing with some random parameters the welding machine started to work better however I have just the slightest clue what the settings stand for. Unfortunately, the machine's manual doesn't mention anything related to these settings and the manufacturer doesn't reply to my questions.

Does anybody have a tip or experience with a machine that somewhat resembles my description? I guess this machine makes it possible to adjust the hot-start, arc-force etc. settings. I have checked a lot of MMA machines' manuals but I was unable to gather any information related to my problem.

Hello friends, i purchased a dan-mig 140 today and found that it has an issue. I noticed someone has wired in an old extension cord to the machine with a push button on it. Performed a function test to find the wire feed motor operates like it should. However the main contactor does not close...

welcome to the forum
post a picture of the machine , someone may know what its the same as ,, a lot of machines are leaving the same factory with different color cases and stickers but all are the same machine ,,, may get you a manual to read ,,, or post a list of the options in the menu ,
if in doubt set everything to the middle , or look for a factory reset option.

Thanks for the answers. I collected the data and made some photos (attached).

@500e Interestingly this machine isn't listed in the manufacturer product catalog: URL. And it is a little bit different in the term of aesthetics. I have the same manual (in multiple languages) but unfortunately, it doesn't mention anything useful.

@tom2207 I attached my findings. As you can see, the pictogram in the front of the machine specifically tells you to push the knob. The knob itself isn't a general potentiometer, it is a limitless encoder.

Sziasztok srácok,
Most vettem egy Daewoo DAMINI 140IT gépet. Első pillantásra ez a gép egy egyszerű általános 1 gombos gép. Viszont amikor megpróbáltam használni, szörnyű volt a hegesztési folyamat, alig volt képes ívet gyújtani. A hibakeresés során (érintkezők, tápkábelek stb. ellenőrzése) rájöttem, hogy a gépnek elég részletes menürendszere van. Az első szint a gomb rövid megnyomásával érhető el, amely kiválaszt egy beállítást, amelyet a gomb elforgatásával lehet beállítani. Néhány másodperc múlva a készülék elmenti a beállításokat, és visszatér a fő áramkiválasztási opcióhoz. A második szint a gomb elég hosszú (~3 mp) lenyomásával érhető el. Néhány véletlenszerű paraméterrel való játék után a hegesztőgép elkezdett jobban működni, de a legcsekélyebb fogalmam sincs, mit jelentenek a beállítások. Sajnos a gép kézikönyve nem említ semmit ezekkel a beállításokkal kapcsolatban és a gyártó sem válaszol a kérdéseimre.

Van valakinek tippje vagy tapasztalata olyan géppel kapcsolatban, ami kicsit hasonlít a leírásomra? Gondolom ez a gép lehetővé teszi a hot-start, íverő stb. beállítását. Sok MMA gép kézikönyvét megnéztem, de nem tudtam összegyűjteni a problémámmal kapcsolatos információkat.

Sziasztok nekem is van ilyen gépem. Végre kiderül, melyik beállítás mit szeretne?
