I would leave the fan on constant same as the industrial migs, what harm can it do? I think the thermal switch is only extra work with no extra benefit.best of luck with your project.
Martin.
Hi HBR, I have a FRONIUS tp1500 which will burn 3.2s all day long and is well able for 4mm.will run well off 2x 50m 2.5sq extension leads.it welds so smooth you dont need a chipping hammer. They are expensive but you get what you pay for.Best of luck with whatever you choose.
Regards Martin.
Cheers DRAINS,I guess nothing is unbreakable as TINO has pointed out,I never thought of having to cut/burn out at a later stage.Every day is a school day.::hug:
Sorry guys, wasn't thinking of redoing.I was thinking of a permanent fix.Managed to repair a broken hub off an ancient JCB 525 loadall with 29/9 rods, held so far.
I had same problem with my portamig and there was no visible spatter,Steve advised and supplied new diffuser for the torch.Problem solved, thanks Steve.

Could you make one frame accurately and use it as a temp for the rest, just tack on some stops on both inside and outside of frame members , no need for clamps then.
A huge thank's from me too ZARDOZ,looking forward to the challenge.should be easy enough with such detailed plans.
Thank's again'

Couldn't agree more,SENNA PROST and MANSELL all greats.I'm just saying the last good battles were between HAKKINEN and SCHEUY they had some great battles on the tar wet or dry.
