Hello,
just want to show one of my favourite things do with a tig machine.
I made this little sign for a friend who builds and repairs welding torches.
i also made a timelapse recording, i think this shows how much work goes into these pictures.
I almost got to weld a titanium exhaust, modify from 50 to 60mm inlet. Didn‘t take the Job because the guy wants to pay only 40€-50€... including materials
i have so much titanium rods, would be cool to use them sometimes
They seem to be the same Compositing like Binzel e3, maybe better quality?
i will send the bad ones to Binzel, See what they say. The Good Ines are Good But Not better then 2% lanthanated and way more expensive
I made some pretty heavy Aluminium Tig today... the E3 was so different in results, some of them just cracked
i will sell all of the tungstens in Gold and Purple i have, will Stick with blue
So that means:
Cycle Time is 1/1,4=0,714 seconds
that would mean 45% Pulse ON would be:
0,714 Cycle Time x 0,45=0,321
so the Settings would be:
0,321 Cycle ON Time
0,393 Cycle OFF Time
Cycle total Time 0,321+0,393=0,714
I think i get it
I like to use 2% lanthanated, don’t Cage about the radioactive Parts of thoriated. But the blue 2% lanthanated work better on Low ampererage Starts and a 2.4mm will do anything a 200 Amp Machine is capable of.
for filler i like ER70S6 which flows nice.
But the most important is cleaning you...
Hi Folks,
i have a little Problem with „converting“ Pulse Parameters for Tig.
For example, given Parameters are:
- 1.4 Pulses per Second
- 45% Peak ON Time
My Machine is not capable to set the Parameters this way, i can only set Pulse High Time and Puls Low Time per seconds. Like that:
-...
I use 1mm wire, with Pulse the Machine works „olayish“ on that.
But most of my MIG Welding is 8-30mm, so i stick with 1 or 1.2mm
If i had to do much thin stuff with Mig i would go for 0.8mm.. mig wire is cheap stuff
I mailed them 3 times, also used the Link 5 times...
notging happens..
I would like to get some for my students, now i make something myself for them.
It sucks that they don’t answer... maybe the don’t want new Customers ;)
I First thought about stainless, But i want the new white colour, so that ist would make no sense to use it.
so i went for 1mm Steel and welded it to make the housing.
waiting for the paint to dry at the Moment
The wiring is done correctly with new cable and Earth Connection in the Plug :)
Also the cleaning goes on, also i will make a new cover out of 1.5mm sheet.
