Hi lads need some advice on up hill mig welding . Am I right in thinking that you turn up the volts and turn down the wire feed speed. Also for the root pass do you just go straight up with minimal weave and and up side down v for fill. All advice welcome
I don't really want to have it swinging out of an arm because the father will more than lightly hit it wit the JCb at some stage. Are they ok on the floor or would a trolley be more suitable
Hi lads i was wondering if ye lads leave your separate wire feeders on the ground or hand them on an arm. I was thinking of making a trolley to wheel it around on or are they ok on the ground.
Hi guys I want to thank you all for the advice on here. I'm currently using a fix shade welding helmet I just nod my head to grow it down . Im thinking of buying a decent auto darking hood . Optrel or something like that. How safe are they compare to a passive hood. Cheers guys
Hi guys I refilled my mig bottle before Christmas and I got a lighter mig mix this time as Iv a good bit of light box to weld but I also have some 15 mm plate to weld will this gas do it's a 350amp mig.. As I here some guys telling me that you need a heavy mig mix . Hope this post makes sense
Hi guys I'm thinking of buying a 40 amp plasma cutter . Maybe a jasic to replace my oxy propane torch. What is the max steel thickness I could cut with 40 amps. It's only mild steel I'll ever be cutting.
Hello lads I have bought a mapp gas torch for brazing small parts and usual heating jobs. I'm wondering if there is an adaptor for the torch to allow me hook it up to my big propane bottle. Happy Christmas all
