Amazon list 2ah ones for about £22. I bought one as wanted at least 2 total. Think was from Germany but less of a price increase than the ebay resellers!
Local aldi (Newmarket) has maybe 20 or so of the 20 volt batteries as of now ( managed to resist!).
All got security tags must be a popular item to " liberate"!
I agree with you there Fred, i have been known to heat and bend but usually 6mm bar.
Maybe I should take some bits next time he has a competition .I'm sure the competitive spirit might get some input but you know the saying "Brute Force and Ignorance" so not sure we would get circles.
I've...
I think they have rolled strip or 6mm rings I looked at DC Iron (they do have correct diameter in 16mm square bar.
I don't get this strongman stuff but the idea is its harder ( i.e hurts more!!) to lift with a smaller diameter. Weightlifting bars are 38mm or 50mm I think and even I can lift a...
Hi My son wants to make some strongman equipment. Currently he wants "Dinnie Stone" handles (basically a round steel ring handle with a hanging tube for silly heavy weights).
There are large and small stone "classes" so rings seem to be:
Large 3/4 " rod ring 125mm internal diameter
Small...
think youll find you can get 3/4 bsp long nipples threaded both ends. I tried local " real" plumbing suppliers none had any as itll be for commercial heating and fire systems i guess. There is 30mm and 25mm black steel conduit pipe and there will be fittings for that ( screwfix do 3m of conduit...
Internal temp is low so you can comfortably hold hand on ball valves.
Mine will cook for hours ,( with fire tending) on less than 5 kg of charcoal and often some left when fully out?
Nothing like the waft of slow cooking meat ( including home cured bacon) drifting up the street for the postman
I built one few years back used black iron nipples ( cut in halves for 2 air intakes) cone drill drum weld in.
Bought 3 end caps and one ball valve .
Tbf they don't get very hot as under fire grate.
I use the three with caps for coarse adjust( usually on lighting) then ball valve as control.
I'm...
Yep daughter runs animal sanctuary so similar. We call it " the magic key"
Doubt it'd be much use as a van sardine can opener for the light fingered though!! Unless they had big pile of batteries!
I have dismantled a few of the ryobi batteries and found dud cells but I think the charge management board goes and I've not seen ryobi or dewalt boards only makita but clone batteries are less hassle and cheap.
I'm only diy so not depending on tools for a living of course
Must admit even brushless grinder on 20v 2ah doesn't last long but with 1mm blade it's handy out and about.
I don't use it much but reckon total cost was £30 so not complaining!
I only have a £15 ferrex 20v brushless grinder but amazon have small batteries for just over £20. It came from amazon eu .
I'd bought one battery ages ago from aldi reduced bin to pinch batteries for another tool but didn't get round to it.
I also have dewalt and ryobi where like makita...
May or may not be relevant but Don has 2005 astra estate. Similar iss back passenger door. Googling suggested if it doesn't open open window ( or sit inside with keys ,) and lock with remote door then usually opens with both handles.
Didn't get any further due to holiday but didn't work...
Actually don't think I will buy any " just in case" seems to be several hundred dollars a roll.
At least reassuringly expensive except for prospect of fake ( remarked Duck tape)?
Guess I'd go with black as easy to spot but might class a wing as " important"!
I guess they know what they're doing but pilots usually check from ground level and maybe kick the tyres!
Agree that gaffa tape always sticks to itself, usually just as you are about to place it in the most...
Just flown transatlantic on a dreamliner for a holiday..
As we disembarked I happened to look out of windows at the main wing top surface. There seemed to be patches of black " gaffa tape" in quite a few places. Quite interested in gaffa tape at -65c, 550mph wind and 30000 feet.
Actual saw the...
They seem to be in the 25th specials leaflet. Coated in very shiney ferrex blue.
