I made a solid board gate with Wickes timber years ago and now there are 20mm gaps between the boards. It's not a problem as they make good spy holes but it was annoying when they first started appearing.
I have as well. I ordered one and the courier managed to break the cup and bend the trigger so I got on to the seller and they sent me a replacement next day. I ordered parts and made the broken one into a 1.8 but haven't used that.
It's so you can park next to fat people who have expanded to fill the larger cars they now need to drive. The disabled spots in the precinct near us seem to be reserved for Subway and Pizza Hut customers and delivery drivers.
Our Virgin installer was quite amenable to suggestions. He was going to put the box on the side of the house with fibre running to it but it was safer on the front with the cable running from it, less chance of me knocking it off with the trailer.
Our electric went off along with next door a few years ago and the lads who came to fix it checked for the break outside our house under the pavement. When they dug down to it they called me out to see where the cable had burnt out and you could actually smell the carbonised blackened wire.

Is it registered in his name ? You can apply on line and register the change of ownership. They seem to fetch anything between £8,000 and £12,000. Get in quick before he changes his mind.
