Sorry guys not posted in ages not had a lot of time on my hands after the move etc after deciding to sell the r-tech 250 earlier on in the year I can honestly say I regretted it, unfortunately at the time I had no room for it, as it was a shared garage with my landlords vintage car and a few...
Welder is now sold, decent bloke picked it up had a bit of a natter turns out he is restoring old cars including landrovers of all things.
Just on a side note for other rang rtech and warranty is transferrable with no issues at all.
Hope the guy has more use than what I did, torch was still...
Il summarise so you don't have to read the whole thread,
Rtech 250 is up for sale bought last October tested to see if it turned on then put back in the box as we were moving house and it's not been out the box since. So your getting a brand new never been used rtech 250 and cables (if you want...
That's fair enough, I did say open to offers and being brand new maybe I'm expecting to much lol.
I thought I'd post on here as for the people who'd actually use it and have it go to a good home so to speak.
It would also be the only one on eBay bar the rtech own unit at £700.
Anyway il write...
Hey guys just letting you know its still sat in the garage not moved from its original spot, still has 4 1/2 year warranty left.
Anybody interested give me a message or feel free to post for all to see.
If I don't have any interest by the end of the week Il stick it on ebay.
Cheers all
Sorry guys didn't have a notification anyone had replied, anyway I'm based just outside of Croft near Skegness.
Ideally id like as close to what I paid for it considering other than getting it out the box and attaching a mains plug to make sure it powered on I've literally put it back in the...
Well it's been a while guys, unfortunately or fortunately depends which way you look at it we've moved house bigger place smaller garage, it' still sat in its original box being used as a shelf.
Due to space and lack of anywhere to actually plug it in I'm considering selling. In two minds but...
Very true, I do overthink things unfortunately that's my nature I look at every angle then go in.
Spot on with the last bit get one bought and learn :D
Appreciate the advice though Richard spot on  Il double check a few things I've got noted and get one ordered haha
Could always split the setup, a smallish mig and a separate Tig, ie the gys smart mig and a DC Tig circa 160 amps, Tig is probably the better option on car body work however depending on material and thickness still possible to mig.
Just a update for you guys.
Nice delivery chap dropped my not so big parcel off at work yesterday :clapping:, (quite surprised on the size of I'm honest quite small for the output) anyway just sorting out gas and have ordered both gas and gasless mig wire. As I will need the portability side...
Very true, I'm still undecided, we have Jasic and parweld on our site both seem pretty decent, however the Swp is looking a nice little contender price wise, only thing I found as a negative was one review mentioning balling of the tip no matter the settings but every other seems to highly rate...
Well finally seen a Jasic mig and Tig in person, new job I've been to look at funnily enough had some nice 3 phase jasics and esab migs and a small Jasic Tig they do look half decent style and layout wise and seem to weld really smooth.
They've only just bought them about 3 months ago and used...
Well I agree on that one I've built a few PC's and every so often give em a clean out and considering they live in a relatively dust free regularly cleaned environment oh and have dust filters on the air intakes the amount of dust is nuts in a short period of time. Il use a light sheet for the...
Well I ended up going for the 250 should be dispatched Monday so will have a few photos Tuesday hopefully. Probably slightly over kill for my usual welding but nice to know when I need the amps for the odd job it will be there.
It is a shop soiled unit (small scuff) so little bit of a discount...
Just seen your comment on the jasic unit, must have read the next post down haha, where do you have the units service d out of interest? Is there a charge for doing so?
I would take you up on that offer but I'm on the east coast Skegness way. :(
Out of the units which would you personally go with? Or any other in that sort of price range?
As I say parweld I've had a look at and the rtech, I'm on the fence with the Jasic with the warranty side few good/bad...
