Hello Angel,
it is worth a quick check on the release valve in case that is passing. Seals are more likely but still?
You have nothing to lose in dismantling and seeing if the seals match readily available seals?

Hello Addjunkie,
that is not really accurate, 316 is a higher grade than 304, but for general use 304 is all you require. Our brewery vessels for instance is made of 304.
Much of car exhaust systems is made from 409, I understand and is a much lower grade than 304.

Hello Memmedu,
compression ratio is a simple calculation of cylinder capacity plus combustion chamber capacity (including the gasket volume divide by the combustion chamber and gasket volume. If you want to be absolutely precise you need to factor in the difference between block face and piston...
Hello all,
good news but the government is still years away from approval of these SMRs. We desperately need them now instead of the third rate renewables.
Alec
Hello Haz,
unless things have changed recently that meter belongs to your power supplier. If it is not working it is their problem, not yours. Just tell them and leave it up to them. You may also have the bonus of free electricity until it's fixed?

Hello UKracer,
what sort of conduit has a 3mm wall, that's far too thick? It's no wonder they struggle to bend it?
E.g. :-

Hello Rtcosic,
it doesn't matter what generator you have the voltage drop will be the same, assuming the same voltage. If you overload the generator the voltage will drop as will the voltage drop proportionately.

Just for devilment, rather than a wish to sell, I wondered about putting the registration of my 1968 Triumph 2000 to see what their computer comes up with?

Hello Graeme,
capilliary action will draw the braze between the bracket and tank. I see no reason why you can't tack it with the MIG first.
What are you brazing with, because the hole would weld up very easily with oxy\acetylene (or your MIG), it may be difficult to get the temperature...
Hello Memmeddu,
consider the old fashioned way which was to solder lugs to the cable. It is handy to get some cotton strip torn from some rags, the heavier the better. Wrap some around the hole in the tubular part of the lug (to keep the solder in, although some lugs may not have a hole, so...
Hello Beanwood,
I think I am right that Britain has one of the lowest 'recommended limits' for drinking.
At 76 years of age and in good health I pay no attention to the chief medical officer's guide.
Moderate and regular suits me, never enough to get a hangover and I avoid spirits, just beer...
Hello Bornfree,
if you look at many vintage cars (proper ones, not classics) many simply used string to wrap around the rim of the steering wheel.

Hello Nick,
my thinner is on the way.
Yes it did cure and is flattable, it sanded very nicely. It was just very slow to apply because of no real throughput from the gun.
Alec
Hello all,
thanks for the replies, I'll try again with the correct thinner and dose.
I contacted PPG (Who own MxMeyer) via their website last week but no answer so far?
Alec
Hello MM,
did you miss that none of the paint suppliers seem to stock it.
However would 2% thinners make any real difference to it's spray properties, it's very viscous.
Alec
Hello all,
is anyone familiar with using this product?
I recently bought some and the data sheet says 2% hardner to paint by weight and 2 % thinners. The supplier I bought it from does not list the thinners nor do many other sites I've visited so i tried without. The data sheet specifically...
Hello Knighty,
Nuclear yes, but that throws the timetable way off. We'd need about another twent Hinkley points.
We haven't the geograpghy for large scale hydro, I think the current hydro capacity in the U.K. is about two to three gigawatts. (Maximum grid demand is currently about 45...
Hello Knighty,
gas boilers (or oil) also work very well in well insulated houses.
My view is that heat pumps are mistakenly thought to be efficient. This is because people look at the electrical units consumed. What they forget is it takes several times that electrical unit at the heat pump in...
